sorry man, i know you been really working hard on this one.
when i use the "just...photo" app i get the big black square in the middle of the screen again. BUT, i can use the escape key and back out of it now... it seems to do everything correctly except actually take the picture (ie. white screen that says it's taking the picture, displaying (that's where the black box is)...and escaping.

So I got a sprint 8330 and loaded 5.0.0.438 on it and wasn't able to duplicate the issue. Do you know which OS you're running and where you got it?

i now have 1.18. and it still goes through all the motions and when it takes the picture, instead of displaying the picture it is just a black square. there is no new picture in my pictures album or anything.
i have 5.0.0.438. it was an official release on boost mobile. i downloaded (deleted vendor file...)did you find an official sprint 5.0?
maybe i have some settings wrong? is there something i can check to make sure it's set correctly?

Hmm, I'm running that version as well on this one. Can you shoot me a copy of your logs after trying to take a picture?

Sorry. On the main screen there's a 'View Logs' menu item. You can copy and paste that into here or an email to me (via the 'Help' app).
