Any way to snooze alarms before entering a password?

Any way to snooze alarms before entering a password?

New postby dburrow on Mon May 10, 2010 6:23 am

My blackberry is supplied by my company, and they have a policy that requires the blackberry to be password protected, and have software installed to ensure that it is. I'm not entirely sure, but I do believe this was the behavior of the alarm app that came with the phone -- that the ability to snooze an alarm did not require password access to the phone.

My question: The VT alarm's snooze functionality is only accessible after first entering the password for the phone. Is there any way to have a snooze option that can be accessible before a password is entered?

Hi there,

If you choose the 'Any Key Snooze' option when setting up your alarm you should be able to hit any of the convenience keys, the 4 special keys (Send, Menu, Escape, End) or the top keys (Mute, Lock) to snooze the alarm while it's locked. When locked with the screen off it may take two presses on some keys to activate the snooze (but I think I have a workaround for that case in the next version).

Let me know if that doesn't work for you.
