Bugs on 8220

New postby jsolts on Thu Feb 04, 2010 4:20 pm

Been playing with this for a few minutes now and ive found quite a few bugs with the 8220.

At work right now so i havent had a chance to fully play with it but heres what i got.

Alarm – when it goes off the outer screen lights up the regular clock and then turn off 2 secs later.
When you hit snooze it dosent go away – just says snoozing

Weather – cant access weather when I click on it I get

- uncaught exception:java.lang.nullpointerexception

Just take a picture –

From pop up menu
Take a picture – error taking picture.javax.microedition.media.mediaexception: requested format not supported

Then I get

When taking a picture getsnapshot returned null

When trying to use it from the VT menu – just pops up a black box and hangs the phone.

Thanks for letting me know on these, device specific issues are one of the things I can't test here.

For the snoozing one, I wasn't sure what to do about it. I'm trying to stay on top of the bug reports, but let's talk about the functionality on that one later.

I'll be pushing a new release tonight, hopefully it'll fix most of these. Let me know if not.

Oh, and what OS are you running so I can test the picture thing?

Hey no problem, i love beta testing programs. It seems that not many people are willing to beta on the 8220.

Im using 4.6.0.305

Ive found a couple more bugs, ill post feedback on them later.
If theres anything you want me to test, just let me know.
