Not all applications showing up

I'm running OS 5 on a Tour. Not all of the applications are showing up when you create, well, anything that launches an app. Examples are Profiles, DeviceInfo, Bluetooth and others. It appears that a lot of the lower level, system applications are missing from the list.

Thanks, I'll get this one checked out. Thanks for letting me know, and definitely let me know if you see any others.

Ok, I added these ones, (except device info, which I could probably dig and find). Can you let me know if there are any others that are missing? (I have to add each individually).

Verizon's Application Center is missing.
In 0.1.12, Pop Up Menus are not remembering what applications I assign in them. Every time I go back in to it, they revert back to the first application in the list of apps.
BTW- I really like this app. If you get the bugs worked out, I can see this completely replacing my current shortcut application. Good job.

Thanks!

Hmm, I'll have to check out verizon's application center, (though I'm not sure how). My guess is they're marking it as a system module. Can you give me the exact title it displays as on your home screen?

I fixed the popup thing, you'll see that in 0.1.13 (going out in a little bit).

Let me know if you run into anything else.

It's called "Application Center". Within Options->Applications, I have to go to "Add-on" to find it, and there it's called "BlackBerry Application Center" and the module is net_rim_bb_app_center, vendor RIM.

Thanks, I put a test for this one in 0.1.14, can you try it out and let me know how it works for you?

It shows up but it doesn't run.
Others, in add-ons, that don't show up are:
Blackberry Maps
Word Mole
Facebook
Flickr

Also, Music, gets an error:
Error running menu item!
net.rim.device.api.system.ApplicationManagerException: Error starting null: null

Thanks for the heads up. I revamped how this works in 0.1.15, let me know if any of those apps still don't show up...

Progress, Blackberry Maps, Flickr and Facebook now work, but still no Word Mole.
Also, Music and VersaTool have disappeared from the list of apps (there may be others).
AND
Some applications are showing up twice with the same wording (not with (invoke) in one of them):
Pandora
Viigo

I'll have to look more closely to see if there is anything else missing.
BTW: thanks for the code. :P This is really a great program. I've already removed my other shortcut launcher.

I don't think Music ever worked (though if it did definitely let me know), so I pulled it. I haven't found a way to actually launch the file browser yet, and early research suggests it may not be possible...

Not sure on the double entries, I'll check it out on my phone. I'll also put VersaTool back in...

I just discovered that Viigo doesn't launch. That's a third party application, so it should launch but doesn't.

There should be two entries for Viigo in the list, one works and one won't. I'm not sure how to handle this case for third party apps. The crux is that some apps have multiple entry points, distinguished by arguments. I could display the arguments, but most of the time they are meaningless to a person looking at them. It's on my list to work out, but not sure what I want to do yet.

Thanks for creating such as useful app. I've been trying it out for the last couple of days and like what I see so far. It looks like you RIMs API isn't real helpful discovering all the available apps, so here are a couple more you may need to add manually. At least I don't see them in my app list - am I right?

Google Talk - module: net_rim_bb_qm_google
AOL/AIM - module: net_rim_bb_qm_aim
BBM - module: net_rim_bb_qm_peer (I think this is the entry point)

I suppose you might want to add ICQ and the other IM apps as well, but I don't have those module names handy.

I've got the 9630 running the stock 5.0.0.484 release. Thanks!

Thanks, I put these on my todo list. The rim_* ones are tricky because I can't call them with any arguments, but I'll definitely see if those don't require any.

I'm wondering if the issue about adding media to a popup menu was ever resolved?? I downloaded the trail version for my BB Storm and am trying various things out. Haven't spent much time but one thing I wanted to do is generate a popup for my media apps (Pandora, PodTrapper, BB media, etc). BB media isn't on the list. The previous discussion about not being able to call up native BB apps seems unlikely since other 3rd party shortcut software I own can see them. I generally like VT but would be much happier if there's a solution to this particular thing.

Yeah, I've had a few users report that they see them in the menus for other apps, but haven't had anyone confirm that they actually work on OS 5. I'm working on it regardless, but I'd love to get confirmation that an app is able to load specific media folders...

Yes, I can confirm that on my 9700 you can launch each of the media folder items but not media folder itself with another popular launch shortcut app.

I'm running 5.0.0.328 on my Storm and routinely access all the various BB media applications with another short cut program. Looking forward to a fix on this! Thx!

This should be fixed in the latest beta (1.0.5), but be warned other users are reporting AutoReply issues, so if you use that you may want to hold off while I narrow them down.
