Feature Questions

New postby mfrome on Mon Mar 02, 2009 3:35 pm

Love the Software. Just moved from a Window's Mobile and am SO much happier.

In the meantime: I don't beleive there is a users manual yet, so here are the features I'm curious about:

1) Does Podtracker do Automatic deletion after I listen to a program?
I'm (currently) limited on storage space, and as such don't want to have to go into each podcast and delete to make space available:
EXAMPLE FEATURE REQUEST: Have an automatic delete function, but allow a userto manually protect a podcast from deletion.

2) Is there a cheat sheet for shortcut buttons?
Somehow, I figured out that space pauses the music. There must be others.
EAMPLE FEATURE REQUEST: In the menus, put the shortcut key next to the feature. On the "player" screen, put the shortcut keys by the play functons.

Shortcut Keys

I'm not sure but I don't think it treats played vs non-played episodes any different in deleting.

There's a general setting (could be under storage) for 'Delete after listening' which will delete episodes > 95% listened as soon as you start playing something else. Otherwise everything is treated the same, and it will delete old episodes if it has more than 'Downloaded to keep' (settable per podcast in 'Edit Podcast') when it goes to get more episodes.

Currently there's no way to 'save' an episode, but it's on my todo list.

Hope this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
