Hi we have a BB Curve 8310

We realized that the SD card is totally full and we don't have many podcasts ready for listening, we delete manually after listening.

Upon inspection on the SD, we find many old .mp3.dat files of those deleted podcasts, the only solution being to list the folder by date modified and delete files created up to a certain date.

Any ideas? Thanks!

Yeah, sometimes this happens when the media player doesn't release files properly.

You can purge them in the storage settings screen's menu (hit the menu again when you're in there). There should be a 'Prune Orphaned Files' menu option. Let me know if that doesn't work for you.

Wow, that's a nice feature, don't think i would have found it, maybe this autopruning could be done in conjunction with delete commands?

I've been meaning to run the prune behind the scenes occasionally, but haven't gotten around to getting it in there. Hopefully in the next couple of releases.
