Hi Guys,

Fantastic software but I have found a problem (at least for me) after upgrading my BB's firmware to v5.0.0.681. I usually have the keyboard settings so that the mute key will play/pause apart from when locked/holstered when it will only pause. For some reason after the upgrade and on all versions of PodTrapper mentioned above I cannot get this to work, the device works under 'When PodTrapper is in background' both when PodTrapper is in the background and also when the device is locked (using the top right key). Has BlackBerry changed the way the device locks in the latest upgrade?

Tom

Hi Tom,

They (RIM) have been altering how the mute key works considerably over the last few releases. I can usually work around them, though.

When you say it works in the bg, etc. Can you outline exactly what you're seeing? (i.e it can do X when Y, but not X when Z, etc). That'll help me track it down.

Hi Marcus,

Bascially it ignores the locked/holstered settings in favor of the bg or fg settings (depending on whether PodTrapper was/is in the bg or fg when locked.

Hopefully that makes sence.

Kind regards,

Tom

Hi Marcus,

No improvement with the latest beta's I'm afraid (in case you had done any work on it).

Thanks,

Tom

Hi Tom,

So it turns out that key is handled as a media key on OS 5, so the BG/Holstered settings aren't honored. Definitely working on a fix.
