Issues with new 2.9.10 beta

New postby EndingPop on Wed Aug 11, 2010 7:01 am

I just installed the latest beta (2.9.10) from 2.6.9 and now I'm seeing a couple of issues. I'm on a Blackberry (details in sig).

1. Pressing the A key doesn't add the podcast to the playlist. It flashes a quick window (as it always has) but it doesn't appear in the playlist. Choosing "Add to Playlist" from the menu does add it correctly.

2. When playing video files pressing the space bar plays as normal but pressing it again does not pause it like it used to. This is only true of video files; it works correctly on audio files.

3. I can no longer add spaces in the names of podcasts in "Podcast Settings".

Otherwise I'm still a happy user.

Thanks for reporting these, I'll get them fixed in the next one. Let me know if you run into anything else.

Can you also take a look the Green memory indicator? I have 8gb left of 16gb on my card, but the indicator is solid green.

Thanks,
Michael

The c,n, and d hotkeys are also still active when one is trying to edit a podcast title, rendering them unavailable as letters.

I'm also having an issue with the display of the volume bar. Sometimes (I'm not sure exactly when) it will not show a change until I change the page.

I can no longer find the cancel download action. I think I used to be able to left click an item in the queued download list and cancel its down loading which also marked it so that it would not be re-queued for download.

Thanks,

Thanks, I had noticed those, they're back in the next version.

Will definitely check that out.

This is fixed as well in the next release.

Similar to the volume bar bug, after a podcast is finished playing it dims (as it always has) but then stays until you change to another screen.

Hmm, which screen does it stick around on? (I'm assuming you mean the list doesn't update to hide the deleted episode?)

Right. On the playlist an audio podcast will finish playing, dim, and move on to the next in the playlist. If this is also an audio podcast, the old one stays shown. If it's a video podcast it disappears if I pause the next, one, which I assume is because the screen is being refreshed.

Fixed for me in 2.9.11.

I'm also having an issue with the display of the volume bar. Sometimes (I'm not sure exactly when) it will not show a change until I change the page.

This is not fixed in 2.9.12. It appears to happen after the screen dims. When I bring it back up and adjust the volume the indicator does not update unless I move to another screen.
