Listen to audio only on a video podcast minor issue
Posted: Tue Nov 23, 2010 8:52 amI download the video version of podcasts where available, but often I want to continue to listen to the audio while using my BB for something else. For instance, listening to a podcast while using HoneyDew at the store. So I turned "Pause videos when not displayed" to "No" so that I can do this. It works pretty well for me, and maybe that should be added to the wiki under "Things you didn't know PT can do". I'm curious if you have any idea if this would affect battery life at all as compared to watching the video and if PT were playing a file that was just audio.
There is a small issue though. Here is the sequence of events:
1. Start video podcast.
2. Press red button to leave video but allow audio to continue.
3. Pause podcast using mute rocker button.
4. Go back to PT.
5. Play podcast.
At this point the audio continues, but the video is not there. I just see a blank screen. I can go Option button --> PodTrapper to get the video to display again. I would think that if PT has focus then the video should be showing. It doesn't seem to happen if I pause without the mute rocker button.
