Should be fixed in the latest beta (3.0.19). Can you try it out and let me know?

The Presto library you supplied a copy of previously in the forums is "expired" so while I don't get the error, it still doesn't play at faster speed.

I have downloaded the latest version 3.0.19 and all seems to work well, haven't had a chance for extended use at this point but i will report if anything comes up.
also has stop in the pull down menu replaced exit?

The latest presto version is 0.8.3 all others have expired.
Maybe Marcus can update the link.

I've tried to sign up for an account on the Acoate forums and still haven't gotten a confirmation email so I can get on the forums. A direct download link would be appreciated.

He's released it to the market now. If you uninstall the current version you have, PodTrapper will offer to take you to its market page the next time you attempt to adjust the playback speed. Let me know if not.

I've downloaded (and paid for) the Presto speed playback app. Whenever I try to use it within PodTrapper, I get this error message:

Received error from media player: 1,0

I then have to force close both Presto and PodTrapper; go back into Presto Preferences to turn off Enable Speed Adjustments; and then re-open PodTrapper. At this point PodTrapper works fine, just without any speed changes.

Any thoughts of what to do?

Thanks.

I also had the same problem.
Will there be a newer version of podtrapper to handle this error?

Hi guys,

He'll be pushing a new release of presto in the next few minutes or so to fix it. You shouldn't need to update PodTrapper. He's still in beta, so there will likely be a few kinks, but definitely keep letting me know if you see issues after the update (it will be 0.8.5 or .6, not sure which).

Works for some but not all podcasts. Latest episode of All About Android (twit.tv/aaa) seems to be one that has an issue.

Heh, ironic. Do you get any sort of error message or anything? Can you shoot me a copy of your logs?

Hmm. Well, as of now it's working. I received the Presto update but was initially having the same problem as before (even after rebooting just in case), with the same error message.

But now, the MP3 I'm playing (same as another poster: All About Android at www.twit.tv/aaa) is working at 130%, 150%, 175%, 200%, and 250%.

I'll keep monitoring this, but for now it works!

I think I got a corrupt mp3 the first time. Most likely reason for the problem.

It's still working pretty well, but it seems that after a certain period of time (and I can't detect a pattern behind the length of time), playback stops and the error message shows back up.

However, I can usually resume playback -- at an increased speed -- just by hitting Play. No force closing required.

And now it's back to not working, both before and after a reboot. I again get the error (same as before), the phone offers to force close PodTrapper, and then I have to force close Presto, reopen it, and uncheck the top box (Enable Speed Adjustments).

Weird.

Presto just updated and I noticed a new problem: it can take up to 2 mins for playback to start on first play when speed is not 100%! Noticed on several podcasts. Likewise, attempting to seek when playback speed is not 100% experiences similar odd pauses.

Heh, sounds like he's still got a bunch of issues to work out. The best way to get Presto issues fixed is to post in his forums:

http://forum.aocate.com/

I'm happy to pass along the issues, but that's the most I can do (the source isn't available, so I can't help fix it). It's definitely sub-optimal, I'd like to build this functionality directly into PT. This works for a stopgap measure, though.
