I was peacefully listening to a podcast using v3.0.20 when I received a phone call. When I finished the call, I saw there was a Java exception (didn't jot the exact wording down). In other words, the phone call crashed PT. Does this happen to everyone?

Hmm, it shouldn't, though the media player sometimes freaks out when the phone is involved. Does it happen every time?

When I get a call while listening, sometimes the phone rings aloud (as it is set to do) and sometimes it doesn't ring at all. The only way I know something's up is that my podcast stops playing. When I finish the call, I see a Java exception that it can't play the podcast while the phone is in use. This is followed by my inability to continue playing the podcast or use the BB at all for minutes. Sometimes I need to reboot the phone altogether to continue using it.

Yes, it seems to happen everytime.

I've also noticed that while I'm listening to a podcast with PT, if the phone makes other kinds of audible alerts - like I get a BlackBerry instant message - instead of ringing out loud, the podcast goes silent and the LED light just flashes with no sound. The active profile on my BB at the time was to ring aloud.

Hmm. What BB and OS are you running?

Also, only since I've installed PodTrapper, my BlackBerry calendar reminders don't display. It vibrates, the LED flashes, and I see the "reminder count" incrementing - but the reminder itself is never displayed.

Ack, so that BB was the bane of my existance. I thought it had gone away after Sprint bought nextel (it's a nextel push-to-talk phone, right?).

Unfortunately there's not much I can do pre-OS5. In OS 5 I can try to duck some stuff, but with 4.5 I don't have many options.

No, it's US Cellular. Not push-to-talk, either. Alas...

My BB 6.0 also crashes if phone call last more than a few minutes or sometimes even if the phone call is very brief. requires a phone reset to get PT to play. Beta version 3.0.20

As a semi-workaround, I've found that although I cannot resume play of the episode I was in the middle of listening to - sometimes playing a different episode first - and then attempting to play the original one - will get play to work again. Annoying...
