On-Screen Controls

After swapping around some ROMs on my new Droid Charge, I've noticed that I seem to have lost my on-screen controls (where you would usually tap the screen and the play/pause, rewind, fast forward, and time slider appear). I thought maybe this was due to having restored from a Titanium Backup, so I uninstalled PodTrapper, reinstalled 3.0.20, and restored from a PodTrapper backup. I still didn't have the controls available. I force stopped the application and restarted it. Still nothing. I rebooted my device. Still nothing.

Am I missing a setting that would enable/disable these options? Is there anything else I can do to get them back? It's quite annoying to have to back out of a video to rewind/ff. Thanks!

Hmm, no. Those are actually OS-level controls that PT calls out to. Do other video apps have the same issue?

I am able to access the on-screen controls in Video Player.

[edit: I noticed that if I try to open the video files in Movies (com.cooliris.media), it crashes immediately. This might have something to do with it. I'll try to re-flash an updated copy of my ROM and see what happens.]

You can close this out. I confirmed it as an issue with the ROM. The ROM maker has since corrected it and everything is fine. Thanks!

Great, good to know, that's for the follow-up.
