tmp files

tmp files

New postby Brian on Wed Mar 18, 2009 9:12 pm

How do I keep the tmp files cleaned up in podtrapper? I have a 4 gig sd card with 2.5 being taken up by old files and tmps. Is there a easy way to purge these files?

Thanks!
Brian.

Hi Brian,

On my todo list is a directory cleanup menu item, but a workaround for now is to move your podtrapper directory (via change storage dir in the Storage Settings), PodTrapper will move everything it's using to the new dir, then you can delete anything you don't need from the old location. (Note that the move doesn't happen until PodTrapper is restarted).

Eventually we'll have a better solution, but for now this is it. On the plus side, newer versions are much better at not leaving these things around (mostly because it crashes less, which is the source of most of the orphaned files).

Hope this helps.
