potential bug: run when blackberry starts - doesn't

New postby Schnitty on Wed Apr 15, 2009 11:14 pm

i have this setting turned on in the settings menu, but when i open PT the first time after a reboot, it looks like it is loading all the settings then, and i would think it should be doing that when the blackberry starts (as the name of this setting implies).

i did do a search for other people reporting this issue and didn't find anything, so i'm guessing this is another case of i am looking in the wrong place.

if it turns out i'm way off on all 3 of these issues tonight, i'm packing it in and i'll just enjoy the app silently from now on. :)

I don't think this feature is completely implemented.

A quick forum search turns up:

that's funny - i saw that post when i did my search, but moved on because the title was "blackberry storm", so i thought it was specific to the storm. should have read a bit further.

Heh, yeah, I can't for the life of me make this work.

Whatever I try you end up with two running PodTrappers when you launch the icon (if you switch to it first in the ribbon it recognizes that one is running and doesn't launch another, total PITA). So I have to implement a global message passing routine that brings a running instance to the front when the icon is clicked, and haven't had a chance yet.

I really need to remove the menu option :)
