Wouldn't you know it, I can't seem to get Podtrapper to download the one and only podcast that I like to listen to.
The address for this podcast is http://www.700wlw.com/podcast/mike_mcconnell.xml

Here are the download logs generated when attempting to interface with this podcast:

This podcast works fine through iTunes, so I know that it is functional.

I randomly chose another podcast produced by the same radio station:
http://www.700wlw.com/podcast/scott_sloan.xml
This podcast works flawlessly.

Anyone know what I can do to make the first one work? Perhaps the developer can take a look and determine why the second one works and the first one doesn't?

:/ I looks like you're hitting a download size limit with your carrier.

Can you try it again, let it run for about 10 minutes and then send the logs to me?

Follow these steps to send the logs:
From the main screen, hit the menu and choose 'View Downloads'
From this screen, hit the menu and choose 'Send logs'
From this screen hit the menu and choose 'Send'

That'll give me a complete picture and I'll be able to tell you for sure what's causing the problem.

Done.

You will probably note from the logs that I have two podcasts in the Podtrapper list. There is the one I'm having trouble with (Mike McConnell Show) and the one that is working fine (Scott Sloan Show). Both podcasts are produced by the same radio station and both come in episodes that are ~17 MB each. The Scott Sloan episode will download via OTA (cellular network) or through the use of the Desktop network connection (with the Podtrapper portal running on the desktop, of course). The Mike McConnell will not download via OTA or the Desktop connection, which makes me wonder how it could be a carrier related problem.

As I stated before, file size shouldn't be the problem here because the files from both shows are the same size (both shows publish 3 episodes per day; each episode is 1 hour... before commercials are removed; they are each about 38 minutes without the commercials).

Thanks for looking into it. Hope you had a nice vacation!

PS: If this can be resolved, I'll definitely be purchasing this product. It is quite nice!

Hi SR,

Thanks for the logs, it shows me that the RSS itself for that podcast is over 1mb (the current limit that podtrapper has internally for xml processing). It needs a limit so it doesn't inadvertently crash the device in certain situations, but I've raised it to 2mb, which should work for this podcast (by far the biggest I've seen, by an order of magnitude).

This'll go out in the next version. Let me know if you have issues with it.

I loaded via Desktop and a ton of third party apps (e.g.- DataVault), but encountered an error while trying to download podcasts. Two attempts were in vain. Thanks for your assistance here. Started solving the problem..
