Error Downloading Podcasts

Hi there, I'm a new user and recently discovered this PodTrapper - I am currently using V2 on free trial. I listen to BBC Radio podcasts but cannot get them to download via PodTrapper. The URL is HTTP://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/rad ... ls/rss/xml and also HTTP://downloads.bbc.co.uk/podcasts/rad ... en/rss.xml.
I have looked at the download log and this is the information I could see:

I have tried many times and it always ends in the following:

5238: Requesting 70312 bytes to bypass size limits
5238: Full download with size limit, requesting bytes=0-70312
5238: Response code is 413: Request Entity Too Large
5239: Couldn't find size that MDS/BIS/TCP would allow to download
5239: No more downloaders to try
5239: Control returned to queue
5239: Permanent failure after 0 bytes: null
5239: Closing download attempt: Attempt finished

I can see that I had an issue with connectivity in the first place then is seems to be an issue of 'size' getting smaller at each attempt until the message starting at line 5239. I have full data pack from Vodafone and I don't usually have a problem downloading large files including mp3s etc from sites.

Please can you tell me if there is a way round this?

I’m glad I’m not the only person having this problem.
This week I have also loaded V2 for the first time I’m on vodaphone and wanting to download BBC podcasts .

I’m getting the same size errors as you ... you’re not alone...

This message:

5239: Couldn't find size that MDS/BIS/TCP would allow to download

Is a sign that your upstream provider or RIM is blocking large downloads, but the server doesn't support sending files in pieces to bypass them. (afaik the BBC doesn't support chunking on any of their servers). Usually the only methods that have caps like this are the RIM specific ones, (BIS and BES/MDS), so if you set up your APN settings based on your carrier sometimes you can work around it (though not always).

Unfortunately without wifi the only way to get around it is with the desktop downloader.

Sorry I don't have a better answer for you, unfortunately I'm restricted by the mechanisms available on the device...

FWIW, I've been capturing the same BBC Podcasts since Podtrapper 1.6 without issues. It works both over Cellular and Desktop (Storm does not have WiFi)
