General Settings won't work

New postby hunberry on Sun Jan 04, 2009 1:00 pm

The general "Settings" menu item stopped working for me lately.
Nothing happens when I click on it.
Restart/battery pull won't help.
Other menu items are working.

That's not good :/

What version are you on?

Can you try 1.5.5 (just released today)?

Let me know if it still happens and I'll see what I can figure out.

Updated to 1.5.5, battery pull, still no settings.

The BB is 8320 with OS 4.5.0.81.

Hey Hunberry,

I added some catching code to the settings screen to try to catch what the issue is there. Can you try version 1.5.9 and see what error message you get?

It probably won't have fixed it, but at least should give me an indication of where it's broken.

Marcus,

By the time I downloaded it was version 1.5.10.
The settings menu item works now, and I am also getting downloads, including the missed ones from yesterday.

Thanks,

Heh, it's 1.5.11 now :)

Glad it's working, though I have no idea what was wrong...

Probably a null pointer somewhere that I cleaned up. At any rate, if it happens again definitely let me know.
