Is it possible to have Desktop Downloader for MAC computers?

Unfortunately no. The only way to talk to a BlackBerry via USB is through the official desktop manager application which is currently available only for windows.

Is Mac Desktop Downloader in the works/planned now the Desktop Manger for mac is available?

I'd like to say yes, but I don't have a mac, so likely not I think it's possible, but the amount of effort involved would be huge (for me, since I don't know macs at all). If there's a large enough demand I may be swayed, but right now it's not on my list...
