Auto check for new betas

Hi,

A feature I have seen in several other apps that would be useful would be for PodTrapper to automatically check for new versions when you begin using the app. Some have even given the ability to have it auto check for betas vs "stable" so if all you want is full stable releases you get notified of only those. Then it could give the option to head over to the web site to download the new version. This is good if you do not check these forums often.

Hi Frank,

PodTrapper does let you know on the releases, but I'm hesitant to do it for the betas. I'd prefer that people read the forums since sometimes I'll post a beta with known issues in an effort to get help from users in fixing them (usually model-specific stuff).

The easiest way to get notified of betas is to subscribe to the announcements forums. It's locked so only I can post new topics there, and I generally only put stuff that is beta-like in there.

Hope this helps.
