Hi guys,

Android users will like this one for the camera button feature (see the Keyboard Settings screen). Other than that it's mostly minor bug fixes.

http://ota.versatilemonkey.com/beta/

I noticed I hadn't pasted since 2.9.14, so here's a list of what's changed in each:

2.9.17 Beta Version (Sep 2, 2010)

* Android: Keyboard setting to have camera button act as play/pause
* Android: More android market tweaks
* Android: Added more media logging
* BB: Fixed white screen when closing PodTrapper via menu

2.9.16 Beta Version (Aug 30, 2010)

* Android: Potential fix to PodTrapper being frequently restarted
* Better handle a few cases of bad podcast images (parse the errors as if there were no errors)

2.9.15 Beta Version (Aug 26, 2010)

* Fixed issue restoring from backup
* Android: Fixed a couple of random places where a Force Close could happen
* Android: Added more logging to help diagnose Bluetooth control issues
* Fixed error message when closing registration screen in certain cases
* Fixed: PodTrapper would take up to 10 minutes to scan for downloads to resume on startup
* Added help popup and status message when playback is prevented by auto-stop
* Android: Update widget to resume last played and go to last played if we don't have a 'Now playing' and the last played isn't finished

Let me know if you guys run into issues with it.

The past few versions have been absolutely top notch on my BlackBerry Storm. I'm looking forward to transferring to the Android version when my Droid 2 shows up. Thanks again for your work on the application!

I downloaded the 2.9.17 to my Dinc with Froyo. Found the file in my download folder but it won't load.
I get a uninstall or launch. The launch just launches Podtrapper. Don't want to uninstall.

Any ideas?

I did the install by going to the pull down notification and clicking it there.

Ok, I've noticed issues like that on mine here, but haven't figured out why'when they happen. If anyone notices a pattern definitely let me know.

I wish my phone had a camera button.

Any chance for an alternate button for those of us with only a power, volume up, and volume down button?

Not sure if this is a bug or a feature I am unable to control, but I've noticed that some of my podcast subscriptions automatically lock downloaded episodes. Therefore, they will not get deleted when the end of the podcast is reached, and I have to manually correct. It's been happening for a few versions now. Any ideas?

Actually I couldn't find a situation where it was doing it when it wasn't supposed to. Basically it's set up such that if you download an episode manually, and that episode would put you over the 'max to keep' setting it auto-preserves the episode to ensure it doesn't get deleted right after it downloads. Does that make sense and is it what you're seeing?
