Android: With no Exit option, how do I upgrade safely?

New postby tom.walker on Sat Jun 04, 2011 7:13 pm

The message that tells me an update is available says I should exit podTrapper before performing the upgrade. However there is no longer an exit option. I read the prior post on this and understand why the exit option was removed (as exit is counter to the Android ecosystem). My question is, what should I do before upgrading to ensure there are no conflicts during the upgrade?

Also, Gingerbread is now available for my Evo. Will my current version of PodTrapper (3.0.20) work on Gingerbread/Evo, or should I upgrade first?

Thanks, -Tom.

I've updated twice on my HTC Thunderbolt without any problem. Part of the install routine is to stop the currently running process so it can write the new APK file. No need to manually intervene.
