Crank geeks

New postby oil.guy on Mon Mar 08, 2010 6:18 pm

I just subscribed to Cranky Geeks podcast, but when I try to play any of the three episodes that downloaded, I get the following error message " Error playing mdeia: 5: Unspecified: The media player failed for an unknown reason. Try again or try to redownload the file" after the screen goes black then flickers before the error message appears.

Any suggestions? I redownloaded file but it did not help.

Hi there,

Is it a video podcast? If so, what device are you running?

It is a video podcast, but I am unable to view the video or listen to the audio. here is the website. http://www.crankygeeks.com/
It looks like multiple versions are available on the website. Not sure how PodTrapper determines which version to download.

I have a Blackberry Tour 9630 with Sprint.

Can you shoot me a copy of the logs after you see the error next time? (Via the 'Email Developer' menu item).

Yeah, the GSM phones (AT&T and Tmobile) are usually fine, it's always the CDMA ones (Verizon and Sprint) that have issues.
