New keyboard settings not working?

In the new Keyboard Settings section of Settings, there are options for "When phone is locked/holstered"...

Are these settings supposed to be working/active when the Blackberry is locked/standby from a holster magnet? If so, they don't work for me. The Mute Key option works, but the Left Conv Key and Right Conv Key don't work. Nothing happens when I press them when the (Bold) Blackberry is magnetically locked in the holster.

I was hoping they would, but I didn't have a holster to test with. Can anyone else confirm this on other models? (I will be saddened, but not surprised I guess, at least one button works).

I can confirm that the convenience keys do not function while holstered on the 8330, OS 4.5

Also, on the 8330, PT does not map to the convenience keys properly. If I press the left key, the action that I assigned to the right key is performed, and vice versa.

I fixed the mapping and put a note on the settings page that only the mute key works when holstered. Thanks for letting me know.

Sorry for resurrecting an old topic...

You can easily test holstering without a holster by holding a common magnet to the phone. You have to search around a bit for the right spot, but a bit of trial should yeild results.

On my 8320 the spot was on the back in the center down towards the bottom of the phone.

On my 8900, it is is nearly the same spot but on the front.

If I put my 8900 into the 8320 holster it won't go into holstered mode, but if I turn it around (so the front is the back) then it hits the spot.
