Podtrapper crashes on Moto X with Kit Kat

I just got a new Moto X running Kit Kat and Podtrapper installed fine, but after loading Podtrapper it crashes within 30 seconds and closes. Has anyone else hit this issue and is there a fix?

My GS4 on Verizon just got the OTA update to KitKat and I now have problems which sound identical to yours. Since Marcus seems to be AWOL it looks like I need to find a new podcast manager. D'oh

It's specific to 4.4.2 of android and later. It was happening on my nexus 7. My note 2 just updated to 4.4.2 and now it's demonstrating the same behavior.
