Startup/Loading Podcasts problem

New postby UncleFester on Fri Sep 18, 2009 9:21 am

I'm running a BB Bold with OS 4.6.0.297 on AT&T. Ever since I upgraded to this OS, Podtrapper has trouble launching. When I start up after a reboot, Podtrapper gets stuck in the loading podcasts mode at about 62 percent...and may hang for up to an hour before the program finally powers on. So it takes awhile, but is there a patch or an easy fix to this? Or is there a podcast format (video, perhaps) that Podtrapper has trouble ID'ing at the start which causes the problem?

Hmm, sounds like a bad thumbnail, though I'm not sure how the OS upgrade could have caused that. Try deleting all of the PT_T_* files from your PodTrapper directory on the SD card. (Only the files that begin with PT_T_, though, leave the others alone).

That should make your thumbnails redownload. Let me know if that doesn't fix it for you.

Thanks, Marcus. It was a thumbnails problem. I disabled them, and it's an instant startup now now. Great support! :D
