Retain podcast files/feeds/settings after OS upgrade?

New postby JHay on Thu Feb 19, 2009 8:38 am

Apologies if this has been mentioned in an earlier post. I frequently upgrade my Bold's OS, and despite storing my feeds on the memory card, I "lose" my podcasts everytime I upgrade. Any way to avoid this?

Hi there,

You should be able to back up your settings with the desktop manager, though I've heard reports that's not very reliable.

Starting with version 1.7.2 PodTrapper stores a backup of all of your settings on the SD card every time you exit PodTrapper. It can be restored from the 'General Settings' menu screen. So, as long as you exit PodTrapper before your upgrade, it shouldn't be possible to lose your settings again.

I just upgraded my storm OS to 109 and had no trouble with the files/feeds on podtrapper. I backup prior to the upgrade and restored after and all was well. Using PT 1.7.2
