Chunked Downloading of Any Internet Files

Hey,

It would be awesome if you could add a feature to chunk-download any Internet file (not just Podcasts). If there was a section to chunk-download any internet file (by the user providing the file url), the app would be priceless. It is already an amazing app which single-handily solved most of the BB shortcomings. This would allow all BB owners to finally have a way of getting around the 5meg limit. Having this option would just be icing on the cake. Plus, it looks like most of the code needed for this feature is already implemented

Hi Ed,

This is simple enough and useful enough to outweigh that it doesn't really fit with the app itself. I'll add it as an advanced feature somewhere and let you know where I put it. (Though it may be a couple weeks before I get to it).

There are lots of posts on the web looking for this feature and as ifar as I know, there is no solution. If you are the first, and post you product onthese forums, you will see your downloads jump up. Can't wait to see this feature. This is truly the best product one can get for the BB.

AWESOME! this is the one thing i hate about BB! you never know when you need to download a 5mb file.

one question, does copy and paste work for this feature? i ask because usually it would be some long link in an email i would need to download.

to the OP, what do you download larger than 5mb other than podcasts? I am just trying to get some ideas what this could be used for...
