Video Support!

New postby marwatk on Sun Jan 11, 2009 7:26 pm

Hi all,

With 1.6.0 PodTrapper adds official video support. No more Juju to try to stop videos once you've played them! This comes with a few caveats, however:

1) It's new and therefore probably horribly broken, that will get better with time :)
2) It can't work magic, it'll only play video your Blackberry can play. If it doesn't play a video, try the 'Play in BBMP' option. If that works and PodTrapper doesn't, definitely let me know.
3) Other stuff I haven't thought of.

Let me know how it works for you.

Updated to 1.6. All my subscriptions and podcasts are gone.

Will not subscribe to any Podcasts.

Thanks, it happened to me too, though I didn't change anything in the data storage, so I'm not sure why it's occurring.

I put a warning out on the upgrade page, until I can figure out what's going wrong.

Should I go back to 1.5.11? If so...post the URL please.

Ok, issue resolved. A couple of images from the new version didn't get included in the build script, so it wasn't that it lost anything, but that it couldn't draw anything :)

I deployed 1.6.0 it again all inclusive, you should be able to reinstall it and everything will be right where it should be.

(FYI, 1.5.11 is still available at the main download site, http://ota.versatilemonkey.com/)

I guess this really illustrated why I did need some mechanism for beta/prerelease :)

Went back to 1.5.11. Everything is OK and back the way it was.

I'll try 1.6 again and let you know how it goes.

It looks like 1.6 loaded OK. It has a new look. I'll play with it tomorrow.
