Bookmarks and Take A Picture

When I go into my bookmarks, nothing happens. It just shows a white screen that says Loading...

Also, before I got the loading bug, I set Take a Picture as a bookmark. When I click on the icon, it shows an error "Uncaught exception: object already exists."

My Event Log isn't working at all strangely. It says the Event Log viewer would not start.

Hmm, it doesn't even appear to be starting the keylistener for some reason. I've put much more logging into 0.1.5 to try to track it down.

Ok, so it looks like some keys are never receiving keyDown events. I may have to do an alternate thing. Is anyone that's seeing this behavior *not* on OS 5?

Hmm, so I'm poking around on the .411 simulator and it's receiving all of the events. There must be some app that's taking them first. Do you have any third party apps that may be listening to that key?

No I do not believe any of my apps would effect that. I've tried setting other convenient keys such as end at home screen and mute, neither work.

Some apps are working on convenience keys now. Only the take that picture and menus don't respond to the keys.

Tried it out before sleeping to see if the camera works but still shows the same null error. Also, convenience keys still not working.

Wait, really? Something's odd with the combination of your phone and VT. What are the symptoms you're seeing with the alarm? Are you able to click the buttons that come up (Snooze/Done)?

You are running the new version, but it's not doing your startup tasks (like register the keylistener). It least it narrows down the problem. Back to work...

If I haven't said it recently, thanks again for helping troubleshoot this...

I am running the latest version 0.1.7. I did the Try This and no popup asked me for Snooze/Done. All it did was vibrate and play Mary Had a Little Lamb non stop. It stopped when I hit Try This a few more times. And no problem, glad to help. I see a lot of potential in this app.

Ok, it's definitely the scheduler that's having a problem, it must be crashing or something silently. I put in a ton of test logging in a special version (it's uploading now):

Ok, not sure what happened there. I'm able to duplicate the menu thing on my phone now, though I couldn't earlier for some reason, so my guess is it's some sort of race condition somewhere.

picture worked once and a reboot fixed that so it now returns the null message. really convenient keys still doesn't work and homescreen bookmarks are not showing up and can not be deleted

Seems like the very first release of VT was the best one. Everything worked fine until the second update. :/ Does that help at all?

Well, not so much help with the launcher one as allow me to see what's broken. The popups should be fixed, though.

Yeah, the issue is the first version didn't have a check on a popup already being open, so you could end up with a stack of like 10 of them. This bug revolves around the 'Is this popup already open' detection. I keep missing boundary cases, but I think I've got it now.

No go, still not working. I'm testing on my device right now, there seems to be some issue popping the screen (I altered them to try to pop above the lock screen, so that may be the case). I don't want to keep you guys constantly testing, so I'll post when it works over here as well. At least then I know it's working on someone's device.

using 0.1.9 the take a picture function is still returning null message. really convienent keys that are opening apps are working but the ones that open popup menu dont work. the homescreen bookmarks that open popup menus or take a picture dont work, but one that opens an app works just fine

also in the event log when i am copying everything it tries to scroll up to the top everytime i move the copy icons

i will do that if it happens again it seemed to the fine using 0.1.9 currently rebooting after installing 1.1.10

im not sure how i can hold alt and type lglg since im using a storm but i can access the event log through quicklaunch easily enough

sweet with 1.1.10 all of the really convenient keys are working, popups are working, homescreen bookmarks are working, and the take a picture is functional. the only thing i noticed is that when a picture is taken three small pictures with lines appear at the top of the screen with the sides and bottom black and shortly after the picture is taken the camera appears to still run then when it gives a view of the picture it is sideways and the small picture with lines and the black edges are still showing pressing any keys or touching the screen removes the black and lined pictures on the area pressed

the convenient keys are working. when i edit them it still shows the first thing on the list instead of what is selected though this is not interfering with the funtion

dang it when using a convenient key to open an app it gives me "Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerExcption"
opening the same app with a homescreen bookmark works and opening another app with a different convenient key works. moving the app to another convenience key works. it is the double click left side convenience key that is causing trouble
