Android tablet support?

New postby geewhipped on Fri Feb 18, 2011 10:41 am

Any chance you'll be reworking the app so that it scales properly on tablets?
I got a Samsung Galaxy Tab and most apps (vector-based, i guess) scale right up to fill the screen, but some, including PodTrapper, do not.
Not just the UI, but also videos that you play in the app, they just sit in the middle of the screen.

There aren't a ton of Galaxy tabs out there right now, but I don't think you have to be Kreskin to see that there will be a lot more Android tablets in user's hands in the next year :)

Thanks for all your hard work!

Yep, I actually have this fixed in the version I have here. It'll be going out in a beta today or tomorrow (which likely means next week, heh).

awesome! can't wait to try it out.
Do you have a tablet on which to test it? if not, would any particular feedback be helpful?

No, no tablet, but shouldn't be necessary. I was targetting android 1.5 with the old version, now I support 1.5 but target 2.2, which allows for resizing and such.
