Still Showing in BBMP list after Deletion

Sorry if this is in another entry, but I have been unable to find it. I also read the manual and wiki to no avail.

When I delete podcasts from PodTrapper, the indexed entries still show in the BBMP listing. Is there a way I can remove them so they are no longer showing? If i choose the entry, the file isnt there, so it goes to the next one on the list that IS there.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanx in advance. Using a Storm with BBOS 5.

Hi there,

I believe this one is a bug in the way the BB handles media. If you reboot your phone it should re-index everything and those files won't show up. Let me know if not. (Though I'm not sure how much I'll be able to help, I can look into it).

Nah, it still showed. I reboot every other day or so.

I deleted out the .dat files from the podtrapper directory on the Blackberry and that seems to have taken care of it. There were at least 8 .dat files without matching MP3 files in the directory.

Well, the .dat files are there to hide them from the media player. (PodTrapper renames them back to mp3 or whatever to play them, then quickly renames them back when done to avoid having the media player index them). I guess on some the media player is smart enough to know that I changed the name?
